Reusable Warm/Cool Brown Rice Kairo Pillow

This is a natural kairo that can be warmed in a microwave and reused.

The warmed brown rice gently conforms to the body, and the steam from the brown rice slowly warms areas prone to stiffness and coldness, such as the eyes, neck, shoulders, and abdomen, making you feel as cozy as if you've had a bath.

I used to use hot water bottles and adzuki bean kairos, but when I first tried a brown rice kairo, I was so moved by the gentle heat, the comfortable fit, and the pleasant weight that I developed this product.

 

Cover with a string to keep it in place while working or doing housework

We've renewed the cover with a securing string so you can wear the kairo whether you're sitting or standing.

On cold days, the brown rice kairo is used many times a day.

Until now, it was difficult to keep it in place, but with the string on this new cover, you can firmly secure it wherever you like, such as on your shoulders, abdomen, or lower back.

You can stay warm and comfortable without worrying about the kairo slipping off, even when working on your computer or doing housework. 

 

L size wraps around your shoulders, lower back, and abdomen

・Before bed
When it's cold, place it by your bedside to gently warm your entire head from ears to neck. The gentle warmth and steam from the brown rice will slowly relieve tension, helping you fall asleep and achieve a deeper sleep.

・Recommended for menstrual pain, sensitivity to cold, and pregnant women
The long L size can be wrapped around the waist, making it ideal for simultaneously warming the abdomen and sacrum. It can also be used vertically to warm the entire area down to the crotch. It improves circulation throughout the body, making you feel as warm as if you've had a bath. It is also recommended for relieving menstrual pain.

・As a hot water bottle substitute
By placing a blanket over the kairo or using it inside a futon, the warmth lasts longer, allowing it to be used as a hot water bottle substitute. Its length allows it to gently warm the entire abdomen and internal organs from the chest down to the crotch. Warming along the back is also comfortable. If placed inside a futon before bed, it surrounds you with gentle warmth and is recommended for those who dislike electric blankets.

・For cold hands and feet

It can also be used to wrap around your hands and feet, so when your hands or feet are cold, simply warm it in the microwave and it's ready to use. It is also recommended for warming the ankles.

・For fatigue and stiff shoulders from computer work

Its size allows it to be placed on the shoulders, making it recommended for stiff shoulders and fatigue from computer work. The moderate weight and steam of the brown rice gently warm and relax the area.

・For comfortable sleep in summer and cooling down during fever

By chilling it in the refrigerator, it provides a pleasant coolness to relieve heat, so you can cool your eyes after a bath or use it as a substitute for cooling gel patches during a fever. It also cools your head and neck during stuffy summer nights.

 

Uses brown rice grown with the underflow water of Mt. Fuji

noi uses brown rice grown in Fujiyoshida City, where our activities are based, using the rich underflow water of Mt. Fuji. Despite being carefully cultivated, we buy brown rice that was too small to be sold as a product and upcycle it into brown rice kairos.

 

Cover made of recycled fabric with a focus on feel

The weft of the cover is made from recycled cotton, and the warp is made from cupra. Cupra is a regenerated fiber made by effectively utilizing the downy fibers of cotton seeds. Because the fiber surface is round, it has a pleasant feel, excellent moisture release, and is biodegradable.

This fabric was specially woven for us by Watanabe Textile, a textile brand in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, where noi is also based.

The cover is removable and washable.

Handmade Sewing Process

The inner bag of the brown rice kairo is hand-sewn one by one on a sewing machine by local mothers in and around Fujiyoshida, the weaving town where noi is based.
It is a craft brown rice kairo made with care and love, one by one.

Easy to use: just warm it in the microwave

Place the main body in the cover and warm it in the microwave before use.

*Since heating varies depending on the microwave, please adjust the heating time while monitoring the temperature.
*To prevent drying, occasionally place a cup of water with it when heating.

 

Enjoy a spa experience at home with an aroma spray

Warm it in the microwave and use it with your favorite aroma spray, depending on your mood or purpose, to enjoy a spa-like experience at home.

Before sleeping, spray Kuromoji Care aroma spray and place it around your neck for a head spa-like healing experience with the steam of brown rice and the aroma.

For fever, sauna, or cooling down after a bath, it is recommended to chill it in the refrigerator and enjoy it with Morning Lake.

Precautions for use
・You may notice a scent of brown rice for the first few uses. The scent will fade after about 3-4 uses.
・Do not use the automatic heating function of your microwave.
・The cover is removable and washable, but the inner bag containing the brown rice cannot be washed.
・Store away from direct sunlight. If not used for a long period, store it in a sealed bag in the refrigerator. Especially during warmer seasons, we recommend refrigerating it to prevent insects and mold.

・To protect the environment, we use simple packaging whenever possible.
・Since each item is hand-made and packed, it takes 3-4 business days from order placement to shipping.
