Kuromoji Kinmokusei Blended Herbal Tea <Tea Bag>

A relaxing blend of the mellow scents of Kuromoji and Kinmokusei.

A blend of wild Kuromoji (black lettering), which has an elegant, sweet, subtle citrus and spicy scent that you wouldn't expect from a tree, and organic, fragrant Kinmokusei (hot olive) tea bags.

The scent of Kuromoji and Kinmokusei has a calming and relaxing effect on the mind, making it recommended for when you are tired from stress, when it is difficult to sleep at night, or when you are simply relaxing.

Currently, only defoliated branches of winter Kuromoji can be harvested. In order to endure the harsh cold, the Kuromoji traps its fragrance in the branches, making it even more fragrant. These Kuromoji are harvested by hand with scissors, carefully dried at low temperatures, crushed, and blended.

You can make up to 4 brews with one bag.

This herbal tea contains six tea bags, allowing you to make up to four brews with one tea bag.

The first brew is enveloped in the gorgeous, sweet and gentle fragrance of osmanthus, and from the second brew the deep fragrance of Kuromoji gradually emerges. Please take your time to enjoy the changing aromas and flavors.

Cold-brewed herbal tea is also recommended.

You can also enjoy it as cold-brewed herbal tea by adding 400 to 500 ml of water to one tea bag and leaving it in the refrigerator for 10 to 12 hours.

If you're in a hurry, fill a thermos with the same amount of water and put a tea bag in it in the morning. By lunchtime, it will have a weak, gentle herbal tea, and by the evening, you will be able to fully detect the aroma and flavor. It will also be a cold-brewed herbal tea that you can enjoy with a variety of aromas throughout the day.

Linalool, the main component of Kuromoji and Kinmokusei, has a calming effect and helps you sleep well, so it is recommended for relaxing before going to bed. It also promotes circulation and warms the body, so it is also good for those who are concerned about feeling cold.

Because it is caffeine-free, it can be enjoyed safely by pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is also recommended for when you want to take a break after dinner or before going to bed. It is also perfect for when you are tired of coffee.

Only wild Kuromoji grown at the foot of Mt. Fuji is used.

We harvested Kuromoji trees that grow wild in the forests at the foot of Mt. Fuji, at an altitude of 900 to 1100 meters, while pruning them. Kuromoji trees grow robustly in the rich forest soil where sunlight reaches the undergrowth, and in the harsh winter cold with its large temperature difference between day and night, giving off a unique fragrance that is both elegant and powerful.

Just as there is a concept of terroir in wine, we want to create a culture of enjoying the unique aroma of each region when it comes to herbal tea, so we only use Kuromoji harvested at the foot of Mount Fuji.

We use the flower parts of the osmanthus that are grown without the use of pesticides, blend them in a unique way, and pack them into tea bags.

Delivering pure fragrance without the use of chainsaws

The plants handled by noi are harvested and cut by hand, one by one, using scissors, without using chainsaws. Using a chainsaw would not only damage the plants, but would likely result in machine oil staining them, so we carefully observe the condition of each plant to deliver a pure fragrance.

Biodegradable tea bags that are kind to your body and return to the soil

The tea bags are made from a fiber material called "Soilon" made from corn starch. This material has been attracting attention in recent years as a safe and reliable new material that does not contain any harmful substances when extracted with hot water.

Furthermore, when buried in the soil, the tea bags are hydrolyzed and then completely decomposed by microorganisms, eventually turning into water and carbon dioxide, which then returns to the soil, making them environmentally friendly.

Pruning and harvesting to enrich the forest

noi aims to create a relationship between forests and people in which both parties benefit, so they harvest in a way that enriches the forest without exploiting it.

When densely packed trees cover the sky, sunlight cannot reach the forest, undergrowth cannot grow, the ground is exposed, and muddy water flows directly into rivers without soaking in rain, making landslides more likely. Therefore, noi strives to keep the forest as healthy as possible by pruning and harvesting tree branches and leaves so that sunlight can reach the undergrowth as much as possible.

In addition, we observe the forests daily and control the amount of harvest to avoid exploiting the forests, so there is a limit to the number we can produce. Thank you for your understanding.
