Uses only wild Kuromoji growing at the foot of Mt. Fuji

We harvested Kuromoji by pruning it from the forests at the foot of Mt. Fuji, at altitudes of 900-1100m. The Kuromoji, which grows robustly in the rich forest soil where sunlight reaches the undergrowth, with large temperature differences between day and night, and in the severe cold of winter, emits a unique fragrance where elegance and strength coexist.

Just as wine has the concept of terroir, we wanted to create a culture of enjoying the unique scent of the land even with herbal teas, so we only use Kuromoji harvested at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

Wild single-origin, as it is from the material

General herbal teas are often crushed and blended, making it rare to experience the form and aroma of a single plant.

In this wild herbal tea, to allow you to enjoy the wild appearance and aroma inherent to the plant as it is, each one is hand-picked, slowly dried at low temperature, and made in a single-origin style without crushing or blending.

The product currently on sale is winter Kuromoji, which consists only of branches. Kuromoji loses its leaves in winter, bears yellow flowers and new shoots in spring, develops lush green leaves in summer, and ripe fruits in autumn. Please enjoy the changing aromas throughout the seasons.

Also, you can enjoy about 4 to 5 infusions per serving, so please do not discard it after pouring hot water once, but enjoy it repeatedly. Even if you leave it in hot water for a long time, it does not become astringent, so it is also recommended to put it in a tumbler and carry it around to enjoy.

Delivering a pure aroma without using chainsaws

noi's plants are harvested and cut by hand using scissors, without the use of chainsaws. Using a chainsaw can not only damage the plant, but also increases the possibility of machine oil contamination, so we carefully observe the condition of each branch to deliver a pure aroma.

Pruning and harvesting volume that enriches the forest

noi aims to create a relationship where the forest and people sustain each other, so we harvest with care to enrich the forest without exploiting it.

If dense tree branches and leaves cover the sky in a forest, sunlight cannot reach the forest floor, undergrowth does not grow, the ground is exposed, and rainwater flows directly into rivers as muddy water without seeping in, making landslides more likely. Therefore, noi strives to keep the forest as healthy as possible by pruning the branches and leaves of trees as much as possible so that sunlight reaches the undergrowth during harvesting.

Furthermore, we control the harvesting volume while observing the forest daily to avoid exploiting it, so the number of products that can be manufactured is limited. We appreciate your understanding.
